  • I’ve probably have had quite a weekend after quite some time, it just keeps getting better, no kidding and I m loving it.

First I get to meet my friends (Anum, Imran & Haris) over for lunch at Nando’s, where by the way I scored a free meal, ooh that’s an interesting Espetata story, and I realized the kind of an A**hole I am.. So we’re there, and our order’s served, since I got an an Espetata, it came with the huge frame it has, and just as it was served I noticed a little hair on the frame, mind you on the frame not on the plate, now this is completely negligible, but nooo Shahzad Khan had to be a b***h, so I don’t care if a hair’s hangin on the frame, it far from touching my food, and I m completely aware of that, but halfway through the meal, wait not half way through, I guess it was aound the last bits of the food, when our server comes to ask us if we need anything else, it just comes out that oh lookii there’s hair on my food and it’s not ours.. She’s like ‘Oh Sir it’s on the frame, I’ll just remove the frame for you..’, I m like ‘Alright sure…’ just then the hair falls on my plate, now this is what I wanted but not planned, so the hair falls on my plate, and I m like ‘Oh my god! I can’t eat this, I mean seriously you expect me to eat this now’ and this was not a screaming tone, I was pretty calm, but she’s freaked out (1st Accomplishment! Wohoo), so she’s like I’ll just get it replaced for you.. I m like ‘Yeah sure, I mean thats about right, get it replaced’ so about 10 minutes later, I have a new Espetata on the table… Since I had eaten most of the last one, I wasn’t really hungry, so I ate half, got the rest packaged along with some other food that my friends had left, and we gave it to a poor kid outside.

Oh wait I forgot to mention these people haven’t seen the 2 girls 1 cup video yet.. I mean come on, who hasn’t..just get done with it.. See See now.. I m willing to give out the direct link on request on my IM or facebook.

Then on Sunday I get to meet Uzey, Abdullah & Asim after quite some time.. and man that was fun, no that was Awesome. We ate at Copper Kettle and man those people who named those items on the menu were seriously perverted.. no shit man. They have items like ‘Kiss my buns’, ‘Belly Dancer’ and some other shitily awesome names :D

Anyways, I think I’ve completed some other stuff too, and I m pretty happy about it.. Did I tell you that Death note is pure awesome, I mean it’s F**kin Amazing…. and Ryuk is the DUDE!

For a long time till I blog.. Cheers.

Let’s do a little recap here.. shall we.

I went to Pakistan recently, and had a good time, which included the Tweet up, which I didn’t quite write about. It was one of the best things I attended in Pakistan since the Bloggers meet up. I met some more people, some really awesome ones, took really crazy (birdie poop) pictures, and socialized.

I also got to hang out with awesome folks there the same day (Anum Vighio, Imran Hassan, Umair Khan Jadoon, Taimoor, Sana Saleem, Aly B, Haris Nadeem, Enk, Byte Connector, Ayesha, Salman.. did I miss anyone ?)

Anyways, a few days later, infact the day I had to fly I also pulled out enough time to do a mini interview for CIO Pakistan, I felt good I did that :)

Anyways once back in Singaland, I had to finish up loads of work that piled up sometime last week, I stayed 3 days at office just to finish up work :D …. shweeeeeepp…. forward to yesterday.

We went out for fireworks wagera since it was National day here, but sadly reached too late.. anyways I ditched Hamaad and Saad, and went for Reverse Bungi which I enjoyed greatly, really really greatly :D Had food later, and celebrated Fraz’s birthday.

Also I m still up and haven’t slept yet, and it’s about 7 effin AM… gotta hit the sack now.. later.

6th March 2009, the day active bloggers in Karachi met again to discuss various issues affecting our nation online and offline, organized by Google Pakistan, CIO Pakistan and Wateen Telecom, turned out to be quite some resolutions and suggestions, thoughts and valuable brainstorming.

I reached the venue a little late, since I was coming straight from work, and particularly because the taxi driver took the longer route for some reason. *Curses the evil taxi wala :P * Any how as I reached that place I discovered most of the people were already there, I recoginized some faces instantly (Ali K. Chisti, Awab Alvi, Batool, Jehan Ara, Rabia, Badar, Salaina). It was a little surprize that most people know me, I m not much of a proper blog, I mostly write crapy stuff, but anyways..

I was delighted at the fact that this meet up was to discus activism issues, my blog isn’t about activism but what I do like about the idea of activism is that it gives people what’s rightfully theirs and they get their voices heard.

After my arrival, soon Imran Hussain and Umair K. Jadoon were there too,  it was the first time I met them properly, the first time I met them was at the First bloggers meet up, but I didn’t get time to get to know them properly, until obviously we had a great online blogger meet up. Great ppl.

The topic that we discussed was about how to get a better image back to Pakistan, since we’re getting all the negative publicity recently, be it the government or the militants, it’s just not good, so we thoughts it’s time for all the nerds to take the situation into their hands :P (j/k)

We discussed matters of importance, being it sponsoring bloggers from the outside world or setting up proper resolutions and following them, the sponsoring bloggers idea was brought int light by Badar Khushnood, while Salaina suggested that she could draft a national PR policy. Farhan was of the opinion that we could all put up Pakistan’s flag on our blogs to reflect our love for the country (I came up with that graphic, that I allow anyone to freely use on their blog, but please host it on your own).  I suggested that bring out the positive image, snap along the way and upload the beauties of the country, be it people, places, events or anything on the positive side.

After our discussions and all, we moved to the Bowling area, where some awesome refreshments awaited us..it wa already time my tummy felt the need to get a top up :P

So we had out tiny snacks, some coffee and then.. yes right then we bowled our heads off.. didn’t make for some good score but had fun.. I had Awab Alvi, Badar and Rabia as my competetors.. It had to be nice :P and surely it was.

The picture right at the begining was a snap shot that was taken while lights went out for a bit. Thanks to Rabia for the picture.
